UPMC Presbyterian, a Magnet-designated hospital, is seeking full-time Registered Nurses to join our Adult Acute Care Units. As the largest group admitting patients to the general medicine service at UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore, we provide expert, compassionate care to patients of all ages facing a wide array of medical conditions.

About the Unit – 11 South (11S)

This 18-bed, all-private-room adult care unit offers a diverse patient population, including:
Hepatology (Liver diseases)
Endocrinology (Diabetes, hormone disorders)
Pulmonary (Respiratory diseases)
Infectious Diseases (Complex infections requiring specialized care)

Teaching-Focused Environment: Ideal for graduate nurses or those looking to expand their inpatient experience.

Flexible Work Schedules: Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Your Role as a UPMC Nurse

Provide Compassionate, Relationship-Based Care

  • Address the clinical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients.

  • Licensure & Certifications:
    • RN license or Temporary Practice Permit (temporary permits are valid for one year from the date of graduation, not one year from issue of permit (or until the results of the examination are known at which time it becomes null and void)
    • BLS/CPR (AHA standard) within 30 days
    • ACLS certification
    • Act 34 Criminal Clearance
    • Licensure exam within 4 months of hire or they will be terminated or demoted from the GN position, at the discretion of the BU
