UPMC Shadyside is seeking a flex full-time Diagnostic Tech Advanced to join our Ortho team! This position offers a flexible daylight schedule with shift options of 7:30am–4:00pm, 8:00am–4:30pm, or 8:30am–5:00pm — with no evenings, weekends, or holidays required!

Responsibilities include:
• Performing all responsibilities of a Diagnostic Tech I
• Assisting with QA, regulatory testing, technical initiatives, and research projects
• Demonstrating competency with specialty equipment including O.R. and fluoroscopy procedures
• Monitoring quality control activities and maintaining advanced imaging knowledge and patient care standards
• Functioning independently while supporting satellite locations and off-shift coverage as needed
• Participating in system-wide standardization initiatives and protocol development with Radiologists
• Assisting with the training and development of staff and student technologists
- Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- 2 years Diagnostic experience required.
- Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- ARRT certified in Radiography.
- CPR or BLS Required.
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
- ARRT Certificate
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Act 34
