UPMC Family Hospice Aide IP Unit
Provide designated care under the direction of the primary service provider in the hospice inpatient unit (IPU) to achieve identified goals of patient care.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in all required agency meetings.
- Identify, develop and participate in process improvement opportunities within the home health agency that will enhance the quality of services we provide.
- Communicate appropriately with the interdisciplinary IPU care team in a timely manner, reporting any changes in patient's condition to appropriate professional staff.
- Provide safe and direct personal care to patients in the IPU setting under direct supervision of appropriate professional
- Fulfill agency responsibilities by completing all required forms accurately and in a timely manner.
- High School Diploma or GED - Required Must have successfully completed a training and competency evaluation program as specified in Home Health and/or Hospice as applicable:� Condition of participation: Home Health aide services.
- One (1) year experience - Preferred; Certified Nurse Aide - Preferred
- Must maintain annual competency evaluation scores as determined by regulatory requirements.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Required: CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Act 33
- Act 34
