Position Details
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, Monday–Friday plus call
- Specialties: Surgical Oncology, Breast Surgery, Plastics & Reconstruction, Bariatrics, General Surgery, Vascular, Urology, Urogynecology, and GI procedures
About Our OR
- ~15,000 surgeries performed annually
- 14 Operating Rooms, 2 Procedure Rooms, 1 Cysto Room
- Support for OB ORs as needed

Key Responsibilities
- Performs the scrub role (required for RNs hired on or after July 17, 2023)

- Six months of previous nursing experience preferred
- Prior operating room experience preferred, but not required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Licensure, Certifications & Clearances
- UPMC‑approved national certification preferred
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
- CPR required per AHA standards (didactic + skills demonstration within 30 days of hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Act 34 clearance
