Coach will report to the Associate VP of Athletics and Student Affairs, the director of Athletics, and the Assistant Director of Athletics Compliance and the Head Men's Basketball Coach; and will be required to follow all NCAA, PSAC, and university rules and regulations. The coach will be responsible for establishing good working relationships and willing to help out with departmental needs. Coach will assist the head coach in all aspects of maintaining a competitive program and good retention of student-athletes along with continuously bringing in new recruits.
Assists the Head Coach with all aspects of a sports program. Recruits athletes, mentors athletes, fosters athletic, emotional, and academic group of student athletes. Oversees sports equipment, practice plans and schedules, skill development, designs coaching strategies. Oversees public and media relations. Coordinates team travel and schedule. Adheres to all rules and regulations.
This position is responsible for assisting the Head Men's Basketball Coach in all aspects of the Men's Basketball program. This includes but is not limited to: recruitment of high quality student-athletes, academic success of team members, conducting practices, game preparation and strategy, scheduling of games, travel management, fundraising, alumni relations, equipment ordering and vender relations, oversight of teams' social media presence, and maintaining compliance with all university, NCAA, and PSAC rules and regulations. Also, other duties as asigned by the AVPSAA and AD.
