Blair County Children, Youth & Families is looking for a Casework Supervisor to be part of our management team. Your professional, supervisory social service work in this role will enhance casework staff capabilities, ensure compliance with essential requirements, and support the community and family partnering that is essential for the success of our mission. As a County Casework Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the provision of case management services to the children, youth, and families of Blair County. Our team will rely on you to guide caseworkers as they strive to ensure that children have an opportunity for healthy growth and development, free from abuse or neglect. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervise Caseworkers: Assign work and oversee the provision of case management, protective, and supportive services to abused and neglected children; meet with caseworkers on a regular basis to review cases, provide guidance, and offer support
- Train Staff: Mentor and teach casework staff in required skills and techniques; identify and satisfy staff ongoing training requirements and certification needs
- Ensure Compliance: Review case records and documentation to ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, bulletins, and special transmittals as provided by the Department of Human Services
- Enhance Administration: Review court petitions before submission; contact providers to review provision of services; and assist in the development of policies and procedures to enhance agency practice
- Develop Collaboratively: Attend meetings, trainings, seminars, and conferences as required
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Rotate Emergency Duty coverage for after-hours calls.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
