The Clinical Research Nurse is a part-time position expected to travel to long-term care facilities at the discretion of the project PI, Dr. Chrissy Kistler.
Supports clinical research projects by coordinating projects and drug trials, assessing patients' qualifications, and facilitating protocols. Collects and reviews lab results, patient data, and lab specimens; administers medications and protocol-specific treatments. Performs general laboratory duties and specialized nursing duties, trains new staff, and ensures regulatory adherence.
This role involves supporting clinical research studies by working directly with participants throughout the study process. Responsibilities include recruiting and coordinating participants, conducting monthly study visits, administering intravenous medications and infusions (including IV insertion), and performing health and function assessments. The position also includes collecting and processing biological samples, scheduling and coordinating appointments, educating participants on study procedures, and providing ongoing guidance and support to ensure a smooth, personalized study experience.
Valid driver's license and vehicle required to travel to long-term care facilities. Must be able to make multiple stops in one day.
