In this Maintenance Repairman 1 position you will perform and help with a variety of maintenance and repair work in the building, mechanical, and electrical trades. Each day brings meaningful challenges that let you use your abilities in practical and rewarding ways. Responsibilities include:
- Carpentry: Install temporary and permanent partitions, repair wood fixtures and furniture, fix floors and floor coverings, install picture frames, and repair paper towel dispensers
- Equipment Repair: Fix small equipment such as vacuum cleaners and other floor cleaning machines; help maintain lighting
- Plumbing: Open blocked drains, repair leaky faucets, replace standard parts, and clean drains
- Painting: Prepare surfaces to be painted by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and making minor repairs; paint a variety surfaces, indoors and outdoors
- General Maintenance: Care for, make minor repairs, and safely use all tools and equipment, participate in snow removal and other general maintenance tasks
- Teamwork: Assist other trades workers in complex carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other projects; communicate with your supervisor about project progress and new maintenance needs discovered each day

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- This position is considered essential and must report to work in for emergencies and office closings.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirement:
- You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
