UPMC Passavant–McCandless, an ANCC Magnet® designated hospital, is hiring a Full‑Time Floor & Project Technician to support our Housekeeping team. This is a great opportunity for candidates who want dependable work, a supportive environment, and room to grow. Title and pay are based on your experience and education.
Schedule: This position works rotating/variable shifts.
What You’ll Do:
- Handle emergency cleanups with proper sanitizing procedures
- Shampoo and extract carpets in assigned areas
- Maintain floors by removing soil, wax, and sealers
- Inspect your assigned areas and report any issues to your supervisor
- Use and care for equipment safely and responsibly
- Follow safety and sanitation standards to keep our patients, visitors, and staff safe
- Work within hospital policies and support system‑wide behaviors
- Perform other duties as needed to support the team

- HS Diploma/GED OR
- 1 YR previous job experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED OR
- successful completion of the 5-week EVS training program
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete housekeeping duties.
- Ability to use all housekeeping equipment.
- May in the course of duties be in rooms where medications are stored.
- No contact with medications is allowed.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 34
