Role Description
The Performance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability scalability resilience and operational readiness of enterprise applications and platforms across complex distributed environments. This role supports business critical systems by validating that applications can sustain expected and unexpected workload conditions while maintaining service continuity and customer experience standards. The individual will partner closely with product engineering platform and operations teams to embed resilience and performance validation practices across the software delivery lifecycle. The role is focused on proactively identifying bottlenecks reducing operational risk and improving system stability through structured engineering practices and continuous validation.
Job Responsibilities
Design and execute end to end validation activities to assess application behavior under varying workload conditions and business scenarios.
Collaborate with application teams platform teams and release stakeholders to ensure non functional requirements are incorporated into delivery plans.
Build workload models and test scenarios aligned with business usage patterns and transaction volumes.
Conduct resilience validation exercises across critical business services to identify weaknesses in system recovery and fault tolerance mechanisms.
Analyze system behavior during stress conditions and document observations risks and recommendations for engineering teams.
Participate in production readiness activities and support release cycles through structured validation practices.
Define and maintain performance baselines thresholds and acceptance criteria for applications and platforms.
Continuously improve automation coverage for validation activities and integrate them into engineering workflows.
