Here is how the Director of Security role will impact our business:

The Director of Security will lead EQT's enterprise security program, protecting our people, assets, operations, information, and reputation while enabling safe and reliable business performance across upstream, midstream, and corporate operations.

The Director of Security responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute EQT's corporate security strategy and roadmap.
  • Lead physical security, asset security, executive protection, travel security, and crisis management programs.
  • Conduct security risk assessments, threat assessments, and vulnerability evaluations for facilities, personnel, and operations.
  • Develop and maintain security standards, procedures, and governance processes.
  • Manage security incidents, investigations, and response activities.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, government agencies, industry groups, and third-party security providers.
  • Oversee access control, surveillance systems, and security technology programs.
  • Support emergency response planning and business continuity efforts.
  • Provide security guidance for mergers, acquisitions, major projects, and new business opportunities.
  • Lead and develop the Security and Fleet teams, including budget management and strategic planning.
  • Deliver security metrics, risk reporting, and executive briefings to senior leadership.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, Business, Military Science, or related field.
  • 12 - 15 years of progressively responsible security experience, including leadership of multi-site security programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing corporate, industrial, energy, or critical infrastructure security programs.
  • Experience conducting threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Strong incident management, investigation, and crisis response experience.
  • Experience managing third-party security providers and security technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence and partner effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience within the oil and gas, energy, utilities, chemical, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Military, federal law enforcement, intelligence, or executive protection background.
  • Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, PCI, CFE, or similar.
  • Experience supporting publicly traded companies and executive leadership teams.
  • Knowledge of business continuity, emergency management, and crisis communications.
  • Experience leading enterprise security programs during organizational growth, acquisitions, or transformation initiatives.


Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
