Purpose:
Provide financial systems support for all UPMC users of Financial applications. Manage and participate in system maintenance, support, development, upgrade activities, and hospital integrations.
Location: This position will be based out of the US Steel Tower in Pittsburgh, PA. This position is mainly remote with some in person presence in the office occasionally.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an expert level of functional knowledge of the applications.
- Troubleshoot, resolve and document application support issues.
- Research new system functionality.
· Participate in the design, build and implementation of business system solutions, utilizing Oracle, to solve complex business requirements
· Collaborate with technical development teams and coordinate work efforts when addressing new implementations, functionality enhancements, application updates and performance issues
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of system and operational procedures related to the business functions carried out by the financial systems.
- Coordinate with operational areas to align business processes with system functionality.
- Manage and perform upgrade activities for one or more applications to ensure systems are on current releases.
- Manage and participate in the implementation of new applications or functionality by performing and/or assigning project tasks and managing the planning, development, testing, and conversion activities.
- Lead and/or collaborate with others on the development of training programs for various applications. Participate in and/or conduct training programs as required.
- Manage and participate in hospital integrations from a system and operational perspective, which may include the establishment of work plans, policies and procedures.
- Assure the quality of a completed technical solution is consistent with documented client needs via unit and application testing
- Provide functional systems support for the UPMC users of Financial Management applications.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Science, or related field required.
- Minimum of three years of financial or related work experience required, five years preferred.
- Ability to manage a project and lead a project team.
- Manage system upgrade, integration, and implementation activities.
Proficient functional understanding of several Financial applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions to follow issues through resolution.
- Ability to work well in a team environment with minimal direct supervision.
