Oxford Solutions is working with a client to hire a Robotics Engineer for a direct hire, onsite role. This position is ideal for an experienced robotics software engineer who enjoys solving complex autonomy and planning challenges and translating advanced concepts into real-world robotic systems.

This role focuses on developing and scaling autonomy solutions across a variety of industrial robotic platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate software, hardware, and research-driven innovation into production-ready robotic solutions that deliver measurable value in operational environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement autonomy and planning solutions across multiple robotic systems
- Solve complex robotics problems related to motion planning, task allocation, optimization, and adaptive control
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration
- Write high-quality, production-ready C++ code following software engineering best practices
- Develop and execute unit, simulation, and field testing to validate robotic performance and reliability
- Support deployment and refinement of autonomy solutions in real-world industrial applications
- Contribute to scalable software architectures that support diverse robotic configurations
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field (Master s preferred)
- 5+ years of experience developing complex software systems, ideally within robotics, automation, or AI-driven environments
- Strong proficiency in C++ and experience working within large, production-level codebases
- Demonstrated experience with multithreaded programming and performance optimization
- Strong foundation in mathematics, algorithms, and advanced problem-solving
- Experience with robotics planning, decision-making systems, or advanced control algorithms
- Ability to balance rapid development with rigorous technical standards and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel as needed
