The Ellwood City Area School District is accepting applications for a full-time School Nurse. We seek a compassionate, organized, and student-centered health professional to join our school community. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Pennsylvania certificate as a Certified School Nurse. However, candidates who possess a current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree will also be considered.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing nursing services to students and staff, including assessment, triage, and basic treatment of illness and injury. Administering medications and following individualized health plans and physician orders. Coordinating care with parents/guardians, classroom teachers, school administrators, and community healthcare providers. Maintaining accurate health records, documenting nursing encounters, and ensuring compliance with state and local regulations. Participating in health screenings, emergency preparedness planning, and health education activities.Required clearances: Act 34, Act 114, Act 151, Act 168, and Act 126. Applicants must present current and valid clearances for employment.
