Job Description:

The Senior Manager, FP&A is a global, hands-on role responsible for driving budgeting, forecasting, monthly performance reviews, management reporting, and decision support across regions, functions, and business units. This individual will operate as a preparer, reviewer, and trusted business partner—personally executing critical analyses, reviewing team output, identifying root causes, and recommending practical solutions that improve financial performance, forecast accuracy, accountability, and decision-making. The role will partner closely with functional and business leaders to translate financial insights into actions and measurable results. Key projects include implementing a new ERP system and supporting the transition of finance processes and services from a Transition Services Agreement (TSA).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive global budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, ensuring consistent assumptions, disciplined execution, clear accountability, and timely delivery
  • Prepare and review complex financial analyses and executive-ready deliverables, reviewing team output, and stepping into details when needed to achieve results
  • Lead monthly performance reviews by analyzing actual results against budget, forecast, and prior periods; identify root causes, risks, and opportunities; and drive corrective actions through completion
  • Partner with functional and business leaders to understand financial and operational challenges, evaluate alternatives, and recommend practical, actionable solutions that improve performance; embed the relationship conversations into our processes
  • Develop insightful management reporting, dashboards, key performance indicators, and scenario analyses that clearly communicate business drivers and support timely decisions
  • Translate financial and operational data into forward-looking insights, recommendations, and action plans that support growth, profitability, cash flow, and strategic priorities
  • Support FP&A and cross-functional workstreams for implementation of a new ERP system, including process design, planning and reporting requirements, data readiness, testing, training, deployment, and maintenance
  • Support the transition of FP&A processes from the TSA, including knowledge transfer, resource planning, process ownership, and achievement of transition milestones
  • Identify and implement planning, reporting, and analytical improvements that increase forecast accuracy, efficiency, transparency, scalability, and business value
  • Partner with accounting and controllership teams during the monthly close to ensure timely results, understand key drivers, and connect actual performance to the forecast and outlook
  • Set clear priorities, hold team members and business partners accountable, remove barriers, and follow through to deliver measurable results
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members while maintaining personal ownership of critical deliverables, complex analyses, and high-priority issues; support integration into Wabtec through knowledge sharing
  • Lead ad hoc analyses and cross-functional projects that influence business priorities and improve financial and operational performance

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business required; MBA or CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive FP&A, finance, accounting or related experience in a global environment
  • Working knowledge of financial accounting, monthly close, U.S. GAAP, and internal controls, with the ability to connect accounting results to business performance
  • Excellent prioritization, analytical capability, and communication skills required; experience with acquisition, integration, and transformation preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Epicor, Power BI, Hyperion, OneStream, and other planning, reporting, or analytical systems is a plus
