This position provides leadership to nursing staff and ensures consistent, quality care for individuals with a range of medical needs. The role supports clinical services, supervises daily operations, and maintains safe, effective practices. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
- Staff Supervision: Oversee nursing staff, manage schedules, provide training, and guide daily clinical and administrative work
- Care Oversight: Direct nursing care, implement treatment plans, assess inmate needs, and assist with medical procedures and clinics
- Emergency Response: Provide assessments, deliver emergency treatment, and coordinate with medical professionals or emergency services as needed
- Record Management: Maintain accurate health records, prepare reports, ensure proper documentation, and log controlled substances
- Supply Maintenance: Monitor, stock, and sterilize equipment and supplies to support safe and efficient care areas
- Professional Development: Participate in required training, stay current on policies, and maintain job-related skills

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Sunday - Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $98,144.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
Special Requirements:
- You must possess active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
