This position supports the upkeep, repair, and safe operation of facility buildings, equipment, and grounds. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • General Repairs: Perform maintenance tasks involving carpentry, painting, electrical work, masonry, and plumbing
  • System Monitoring: Check building systems such as HVAC, alarms, generators, and automated controls
  • Facility Upkeep: Maintain clean, safe, and functional interior and exterior areas
  • Equipment Operation: Use and maintain tools and machinery needed for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and grounds work
  • Contractor Coordination: Assist with vendor communication and monitor contracted repair work
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety rules and report hazards or incidents to supervisors

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch period. Work schedule my change based on operational needs.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirements:

  • This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
