This position helps maintain and organize program records while also assisting with front desk responsibilities as needed. As a Clerical Assistant 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Record Scanning: Scan large drawings and documents into the electronic repository using designated scanning equipment
  • Document Preparation: Prepare materials for digitizing by organizing, reviewing, and arranging files for scanning
  • Data Entry: Input accurate information following required formatting and quality standards to ensure complete and reliable records
  • Visitor Support: Greet visitors, provide sign in procedures, and direct them to the correct staff or office
  • Call Screening: Answer incoming calls and route them to the appropriate staff or program area
  • Office Equipment Use: Operate standard office equipment to support daily operations and clerical tasks

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Limited term, full-time employment for 6 months
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Hourly Rate: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $17.88 (before taxes).
