Shifts: Every Saturday and Sunday 7a-7:30p

As a Lead Surgical Technologist, you will support surgeons and the perioperative team by ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of surgical care. This role serves as a clinical resource and mentor while maintaining expertise across multiple surgical specialties.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
- Anticipate surgeon needs and provide expert intraoperative support.
- Assist with complex procedures in at least three surgical specialties.
- Coordinate instrumentation, equipment, and specialty supplies.
- Serve as a lead resource for Surgical Technologists and perioperative staff.
- Precept and mentor new employees and students.
- Monitor inventory, support equipment maintenance, and assist with specialty service operations.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to promote exceptional patient outcomes.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (or military equivalent).
- Minimum 4 years of current Operating Room experience.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in at least three surgical specialties.
- 24/7 specialty accountability in one or more of the following:
- Cardiac Surgery (including Heart Transplant)
- Neurosurgery
- Thoracic/Lung Transplant
- Liver or Kidney Transplant
- Trauma Surgery
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
Certifications & Clearances
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or TSC (Tech in Surgery-Certified) required.
- BLS or CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Required Pennsylvania clearances:
- Act 31
- Act 33
- Act 34
- Act 73 FBI Clearance
