Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced SailPoint IdentityIQ Engineer/Developer to support a large-scale identity and access governance initiative. This consultant will design and implement Segregation of Duties policies and related automation across hundreds of applications.
The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ development, including workflows, rules, plugins, provisioning, certifications, lifecycle events, auditing, and policy remediation. This individual must be comfortable working independently in a project-based environment while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ development, including workflows, rules, plugins, provisioning, certifications, lifecycle events, auditing, and policy remediation. This individual must be comfortable working independently in a project-based environment while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement SailPoint workflows for provisioning, approvals, certifications, remediation, and identity governance.
- Develop custom SailPoint rules using Java and BeanShell.
- Build SailPoint plugins, custom extensions, and automation capabilities.
- Configure IdentityIQ applications, integrations, lifecycle events, and access request processes.
- Implement complex Segregation of Duties policies and supporting automation.
- Support policy creation, evaluation, violation handling, lookback analysis, and remediation.
- Configure auditing capabilities and develop custom audit and operational reports.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot SailPoint workflows, provisioning processes, integrations, and performance issues.
- Participate in testing, code reviews, deployment activities, and production support.
- Follow Git and SailPoint Services Standard Build development and deployment practices.
- Prepare technical designs, implementation documentation, knowledge-transfer materials, and operational support documentation.
- At least 5-6 years of hands-on SailPoint IdentityIQ development experience.
- Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ 8.x or later.
- Strong experience with workflows, rules, plugins, lifecycle events, provisioning, and approval processes.
- Proficiency in Java, BeanShell, XML, and SailPoint IdentityIQ APIs.
- Knowledge of SailPoint auditing capabilities and audit data.
- Experience developing custom reports and dashboards.
- Strong SQL development and database troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Git and SailPoint Services Standard Build development or deployment processes.
- Experience troubleshooting SailPoint integrations and production issues.
- Knowledge of identity lifecycle management and access governance.
- Experience working in financial services, a highly regulated industry, or a large enterprise environment.
- Ability to work independently within a project-based delivery model.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical documentation capabilities.
- Experience implementing complex Segregation of Duties policies and related automation.
- Experience with REST and SOAP integrations.
- Experience with access certifications, role management, and entitlement governance.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release-management practices.
- SailPoint certification.
- Advanced entitlement and Segregation of Duties policy implementations.
- Automation supporting policy creation, evaluation, violation handling, and remediation.
- Custom plugin functionality supporting rule creation and validation.
- Custom audit reports and SQL-based reporting solutions.
- Deployment packages and Git/SSB-compliant source code.
- Technical design and implementation documentation.
- Knowledge-transfer and operational support materials.
- Assignment duration: 12 months
- Potential extension or conversion: Possible based on budget, business needs, and performance
- Locations: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Lake Mary, Florida; or New York City.
- Work arrangement: Onsite four days per week
- Work hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time
- Interview process: One or two Microsoft Teams video interviews, including a potential live-coding exercise
