As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll play a vital role in helping adults with intellectual disabilities live safe, fullfilling and independant lives in a 24-hour residential setting! You'll build meaningful relationships while supporting residentis with daily activities, such as meal preparation, transportation, budgeting, medication administration, community outings, social activities and medical appointments.

Key Information:
- Schedule: Shifts will vary and include daylight, evening/night and overnights. All shifts will likely include weekends. Flexiblity is key as this is a residential program that may require overtime beyond scheduled shifts.
- Locations: North Huntingdon, McKeesport, Port Vue, Elizabeth & West Mifflin
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a valid drivers license
Responsibilities:
Support residents with daily living skills, community activities, appointments, and overall safety.
Assist with personal care, meal preparation, budgeting, shopping, transportation, and independent living goals.
Administer medications and provide individualized support that promotes residents' growth and well-being.
Maintain a clean, safe, and secure residential environment.
Complete required documentation, record keeping and other administrative duties.
Collaborate with team members while responding professionally to routine, urgent and emergency situations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior human services experience preferred.
- Must have a valid PA driver's license and meet the guidelines to be accepted on the agencys vehicle insurance policy
- Upon hire, provide a current physical and Mantoux test, and then ongoing as required by the Department of Public Welfare (DPW).
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Act 34 and MD Eval must be dated within 6 months prior to hire per program regulations - this should only be an issue if it's a transfer.
