The Office of Business, Hospitality and Auxiliary Services (BHAS) leads the University's foundational business services and is one of the many units under Finance and Operations. BHAS performs critical services to ensure our students, staff, faculty, and visitors have an exceptional experience on campus, including:

Supervises team, manages training and scheduling, and ensures compliance with policies and procedures. Enforces safety and security processes and practices and ensures store is properly stocked. Resolves customer inquiries and issues. Opens and closes store and assists with store management and buying responsibilities.
The Office of Business, Hospitality, and Auxiliary Services is seeking a qualified Assistant Manager for the University Stores. The primary location will be the University Store on Fifth and Maggie & Stella’s Cards and Gift Shop. Duties of the incumbent include but are not limited to:
- Supervises staff, temporary employee and student workers. This includes hiring, performance reviews, and documenting disciplinary actions and other human resource administration; manages work schedules and approves timecards; provides professional development opportunities; distributes and reviews work.
- Provides exceptions customer service to internal and external customers.
- Ensures that the Stores are stocked appropriately and accurately.
- Enforces safety and security processes and practices.
- Implements loss prevention measures, including inventory audits and monitoring for theft or shrink.
- Manages staff, ensuring all store policies and procedures are followed closely.
- Assists with store management and product merchandising.
- Serves as the acting manager in the absence of the University Store Manager.
- Settles customer concerns as necessary.
- Opens and closes the stores.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
Required to work evenings, weekends, holiday hours, winter recess, and additional overtime are required.
Sitting, standing, and walking. May require occasional lifting up to 50lbs and moving of merchandise or display fixtures.
