UPMC Presbyterian is seeking a full-time Diagnostic Tech Clinical Specialist II to join our Radiology team. This unique opportunity is ideal for an experienced technologist who is passionate not only about delivering exceptional patient care, but also about mentoring and developing the next generation of imaging professionals.
In this role, you'll enjoy a flexible schedule featuring daylight hours, every other weekend, select holidays, with a combination of two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts each week.

You'll play a key role in supporting radiology students during their clinical rotations at UPMC Presbyterian, serving as a mentor, educator, and technical expert as they build their skills and confidence in a high-acuity academic medical center environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform all responsibilities of a Diagnostic Tech I and Advanced Diagnostic Tech II.
- Lead and support clinical education, orientation, and training initiatives.
- Develop and implement new training programs and imaging protocols.
- Serve as a technical resource and mentor for technologists and students.
- Collaborate with radiologists and researchers to advance imaging techniques and best practices.
- Support research studies, quality assurance initiatives, and protocol optimization efforts.
- Participate in continuing education, staff development, and performance review processes.
- Drive quality improvement projects across the department and imaging system.

- Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- 3 years Diagnostic experience required.
- Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.
- Must annually complete the Good Research Practice module through the Pitt Education and Compliance Office for Human Subject Research.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- ARRT certified in Radiography.
- ARRT Certificate
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Act 34
