In this role, you will:
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations while maintaining clinical competency across all equipment and procedures.
- Review patient histories, verify physician orders, and apply departmental protocols to ensure optimal imaging results.
- Prepare and administer contrast agents as appropriate while maintaining accurate electronic documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, helping them feel informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their exam.
- Present relevant clinical information to physicians prior to imaging procedures.
- Ensure accurate exam coding, documentation, charge entry, and image archiving through RIS and network systems.
- Maintain and promote MRI safety standards throughout the department.
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional patient care.
- Review, process, and archive imaging studies.
- Perform weekly ACR Phantom testing and support department quality initiatives.

- Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT or ARDMS program.
- ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire date.
- MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained.
- CNMT, ARDMS and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire date.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire date.
- MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained.
- CNMT, RDMS and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire date.
- CPR or BLS Required.
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
- If working in a NY facility, you must have received certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and be Licensed through the New York State Department of Health.
- ARRT Certificate OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
