This positions serves as a core member of the Division of General Internal Medicine within the Department of Medicine (DOM) at the University of Pittsburgh. This position provides comprehensive day-to-day administrative support to the Division Chief and Associate Chief and serves as a key resource for divisional operations. Working closely with the leadership team, faculty, and staff, the incumbent coordinates a wide range of administrative activities, facilitates effective communication, and supports initiatives that advance the Division's clinical, academic, research, and operational missions.
Manages day-to-day operations and business administration of a large University unit/department. Utilizes a data-driven, strategic approach and implements strategic short- and long-range planning and strategies. Oversees budgetary matters, allocates resources, and performs payroll related functions. Directs relevant business programs and technologies.
- Provides high-level administrative support to Division Chief and Associate Division Chief.
- Coordinates Faculty onboarding and relocation.
- Coordinates Administrative staff recruitment process.
- Schedules numerous meetings for Physician and Administrative leadership teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, with the ability to effectively manage communications, calendars, documents, and data.
Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
