This position leads and manages psychological services to support the emotional, developmental, and cultural needs of patients in the hospital. The role requires strong clinical judgment, staff leadership, and coordination of programming that meets state and federal standards. As a Licensed Psychologist Director, you will perform the following duties:
- Program Management: Plan and direct departmental work through goal setting, project planning, and review of staff activities
- Clinical Assessment: Perform psychological testing and interpret evaluations to guide treatment planning
- Staff Oversight: Review performance, hire personnel, and manage worker productivity within the department
- Activity Monitoring: Evaluate departmental effectiveness using established criteria and standards
- Staff Development: Support growth through counseling, motivation, problem-solving, and training efforts
- Interagency Collaboration: Serve as liaison with education programs and respond to referrals across hospital units

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Licensed Psychologist Manager (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years as a Licensed Psychologist, MH or a Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or
- Two years of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness and/or intellectual disability, one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
- This position requires possession of a current license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of psychology or possession of a current license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. - PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
