This position provides senior level support for secure file transfer systems used across several state agencies, ensuring smooth, safe, and compliant data movement. The role includes technical guidance, system maintenance, and collaboration with partners to keep key operations running. As an Information Technology Generalist Administrator 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Platform Administration: Manage and maintain file transfer systems to support reliable data movement across agencies
- System Support: Troubleshoot connectivity issues and coordinate solutions with network teams and vendors
- Security Compliance: Review requirements to ensure alignment with security standards and federal guidelines
- Lifecycle Management: Support planning, testing, and deployment activities throughout the system development process
- Documentation Oversight: Maintain up-to-date records for hosting, firewall settings, and policy changes
- Operational Coordination: Participate in meetings and work with partners to guide secure file transfer operations

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Work may be required after hours or weekends if issues arise.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report in-office Wednesday and Thursday each week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Information Technology Generalist Administrator 1, Senior Applications Developer, Database Administrator 1, Data Administrator 1, Information Security Specialist 2, or Network Administrator 1; or
- Six years of information technology experience that includes three years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services; or
- Four years of information technology experience that includes three years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or
- Two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
