Oversees all aspects of planning, design, and execution of large or complex projects. Assists in developing timelines and ensures adherence to deadlines. Manages financial aspects of projects and other administrative duties. Handles external correspondence and drafts reports and other communications.

This position supports the McGowan Institute's sponsored portfolio, including the ARC/ARISE-funded BARMA workforce initiative and the Institute's commercialization pipeline. This position will require travel across PA and WV up to 75% of the time. 

This role requires managing sponsored programs and multi-institutional initiatives from award through closeout, ensuring compliance with sponsor terms and federal requirements (2 CFR 200, Uniform Guidance), coordinating subrecipients and contractors, tracking budgets and cost-share/match, and delivering performance and progress reporting to sponsors.

Specific Job Duties: 
1.    Manage day-to-day operations of federally funded programs (e.g., ARC/ARISE, NIH, DoD/MTEC), ensuring compliance with sponsor terms and Uniform Guidance.
2.    Coordinate subawards and service agreements: support subrecipient monitoring under §200.332, collect partner statements of work, budgets, and justifications, and track deliverables, invoices, and milestones.
3.    Prepare and monitor sponsored budgets spanning federal and match funds; track cash and in-kind match; support rebudgeting, effort reporting, and reconciliation against institutional systems.
4.    Build and maintain systems to collect, verify, and report performance measures and deliverables (e.g., ARC "served/improved" measures); prepare sponsor progress reports and respond to program-officer and reviewer requests.
5.    Coordinate a multi-partner consortium (universities, health systems, industry, workforce and community organizations), including governance bodies, steering committees, MOUs, and cross-institutional communications.
6.    Support procurement of goods and services consistent with institutional and Uniform Guidance procurement standards (2 CFR 200.320).
7.    The role coordinates external partners and subrecipients without direct authority over them (influence/relationship management), and interfaces with OSP, Purchasing, and the sponsor program office. 
 

Moderate physical effort required. May be required to stand/move or drive for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
