This position supports facility maintenance by supervising inmate crews and completing work in multiple trades.  As a Corrections Maintenance Foreman, you will perform the following duties:


  • Crew Leadership: Direct inmate crews in maintenance, repair, construction, and grounds tasks
  • Work Oversight: Inspect completed assignments and ensure instructions and schedules are followed
  • Skilled Assistance: Support carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and other skilled trade work as needed
  • Tool Management: Issue tools, maintain inventory, and conduct searches to ensure accountability
  • Safety Monitoring: Promote safe work habits, maintain order, and respond to hazards responsibly
  • Resource Planning: Determine materials needed and prepare purchase requests for work assignments

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of Basic Training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
