Due to unprecedented growth, the SON is currently seeking one Full-Time faculty for a 9-month, tenure track position at any rank (assistant professor, associate professor or professor) starting August 2026. This is an onsite position. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach mainly in the undergraduate program and multiple levels of the curriculum and engage in collaborative scholarship and research.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in Nursing or related field
Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in Pennsylvania
Teaching philosophy commensurate with Duquesne University's mission and values
Tenured candidates must present a record of publication and external funding
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in nursing or related field
Successful teaching experience at the university or college level – to include both in-person and online instruction
Demonstrated commitment to the profession as evidenced in record of professional leadership or public service, research and scholarship
Clinical and or scholarly expertise and/or nursing education preferred.
Alternatively, the applicants may possess any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential job functions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the University Community.
