Program Description:
The Employment Institute, Auberle's nationally recognized workforce development program, places unemployed and underemployed individuals in career jobs, not just training. Our passionate, mission-driven team supports individuals in overcoming any barrier to employment impacting our participants, their families, and future generations. Because of our holistic model, 87% of our participants remain in employment for six months or more, a long-term indicator of success in the workplace.
Position Title and Overview:
Employment Institute Business Development Manager
This is a relationship-centered role for a skilled problem-solver and strategist who enjoys opening doors, building employer partnerships, and turning those connections into real career opportunities for people in the community. The Business Development Manager works directly with businesses to identify hard-to-fill jobs, understand the skills and training required for success in those roles, and partners with the Employment Institute team to prepare program participants to perform these jobs well. Other ways you’ll make an impact include:
- Program Support & Coordination: Support program growth by helping expand services that respond to participant needs, employer demand, and community opportunities.
- Data Tracking, Reporting & Grant Support: Use data to tell the story of participant progress and program impact. Track outcomes, support reporting requirements, and contribute information that helps strengthen grant proposals and sustain meaningful workforce services.
- Participant Success: Play a direct role in helping participants move toward lasting employment by supporting job placement, retention, and follow-up.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with staff across programs to strengthen services, support participant needs, and contribute to Auberle’s mission. This role offers the chance to work with a collaborative team focused on real community impact.
Location and Travel Requirements:
This position is primarily located in McKeesport. All positions are also expected to come to training, meetings, and other events at Main Campus in McKeesport, as scheduled.
The travel required for this position is regular.
Position Requirements:
- Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Valid PA driver’s license, vehicle, registration, and proof of insurance.
- Requires working varied hours, including evenings, some weekends and holidays.
