This position focuses on providing complete psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and leadership within a clinical setting. As a Staff Psychiatrist, you will perform the following duties:
- Patient Evaluation: Conduct detailed psychiatric examinations and make accurate diagnoses using accepted clinical standards
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans that promote patient improvement and long-term stability
- Team Leadership: Lead interdisciplinary team meetings and ensure that treatment recommendations are properly implemented
- Emergency Response: Provide direction during psychiatric and medical emergencies; and apply appropriate interventions
- Clinical Documentation: Prepare reports, treatment reviews, and progress notes; and maintain complete clinical chart entries
- Collaboration Duties: Work with and oversee psychiatric nurse practitioners and maintain compliance with professional standards

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Overtime and travel may be required
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Completion of a residency or training program in psychiatry which meets the certification requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Board of Medical Education and Licensure, or the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
