As a Clerical Assistant 3 with Warren State Hospital, you will play a key part in providing accurate and timely payroll processing. This position performs timekeeping duties to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. Work involves meeting key processing deadlines and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of policies, procedures and bargaining agreements to ensure pay rules are applied correctly to reduce payroll errors. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Time Data Entry: Review daily sign in sheets, input and code work hours, overtime, shift changes, schedule substitutions, and related information to meet payroll deadlines
- Leave Verification: Review leave slips and supporting documentation to confirm compliance with policies
- Record Corrections: Make necessary adjustments to attendance and leave records and notify employees of changes
- Issue Resolution: Work with time advisors to resolve issues and respond to inquiries
- Communication: Communicate effectively and express ideas clearly, both orally and in writing with all levels of the operation within HR, the hospital, and general public

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Warren. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
