As a Clerical Assistant 2 with the Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Records and Identification, you will support several divisions that rely on precise and timely clerical work. Your efforts will help maintain essential information used across the agency. You will contribute to a dependable workflow that supports public safety operations. This role provides clerical support for multiple divisions and helps ensure accurate records, timely transactions, and organized workflows.
As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Timekeeping Support: Maintain and update personnel leave records, monitor usage, prepare schedules, and process time and attendance transactions
- Supply and Ordering: Process purchasing card transactions, coordinate supply orders, and maintain ordering schedules
- Personnel Actions: Prepare and process requests related to vacancies, hires, promotions, and other personnel changes
- Reception Coverage: Answer calls, assist visitors, and direct individuals to appropriate areas within the Bureau
- Mail Processing: Open, sort, distribute, and assist with preparing incoming and outgoing mail
- File Maintenance: Organize and update personnel and subject files according to established regulations

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes).

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Two (2) years or more of customer service experience.
- Two (2) years or more of professional computer experience
- You must be willing to work onsite full-time. Teleworking is not an option as part of this position's work schedule.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
