This position focuses on daily coordination of meal service, participant activities, and center operations to support the needs of older adults. As a Senior Center Operator 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Meal Oversight: Monitor portion control and food handling requirements
- Volunteer Direction: Recruit volunteers and supervise their activities
- Activity Coordination: Provide daily educational and recreational programs
- Program Records: Collect participation statistics and account for daily income
- Safety Standards: Maintain sanitation, health, and safety guidelines
- Community Outreach: Advertise programs and recruit new participants with your ability to work within Microsoft software to create fliers, calendars, and spreadsheets for advertising and organizational purposes
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Part-time employment
Work hours are 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three months of experience in providing direct services in a human services, education or a community based setting to the aging population or to individuals from various cultures and socio-economic backgrounds or to individuals who have physical, intellectual or emotional disabilities; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
