As a Community Aide I, you will provide compassionate, person-centered support to adults living with serious and persistent mental illness in a long-term residential setting. Working within a 24/7 program, you will assess needs, assist with implementing individualized care plans, and help residents develop the skills and confidence needed to successfully transition back into the community.
In this role, you will support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), meal preparation and service, medication reminders, community outings, shopping trips, recreational activities, and other recovery-focused services. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment while promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being for adult men and women receiving residential mental health services. This position follows a rotating schedule of three 12-hour shifts one week and three 12-hour shifts plus one 8-hour shift the following week.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support life skills groups, community meetings, and recreational activities for residents.
- Assist residents with daily living activities while maintaining a safe, therapeutic enviroment.
- Document resident behaviors, interventions, treatment responses, and other required records.
Implement treatment and skills-training programs, communicate resident progress, and provide shift-to-shift updates.
- High school education or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in the care of mentally ill individuals or equivalent mental health experience.
- Able to work with clients and their families under the drection of the teatment team in collaboration with other agencies.
- Able to work evenings, nights and weekends as program needs dictate.
- May in the course of their duties be in rooms where medications are stored or may transport medications when they transport patients. Transportation of medication is limited from one department to another.

- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
- Driver's License
