As a Custodial Worker 1 with the Department of Transportation, you will help maintain buildings and grounds that support important transportation activities. This position supports maintenance operations by performing custodial and grounds care duties to ensure safe and well-kept facilities. As a Custodial Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Facility Cleaning: Perform routine cleaning of restrooms, offices, garages, and meeting spaces
- Building Maintenance: Complete tasks such as waste collection, dusting, vacuuming, and window washing
- Equipment Operation: Use tools and small equipment including mowers, weed eaters, and trimmers
- Grounds Care: Maintain grass, planting beds, shrubs, and trees around Department facilities
- Seasonal Work: Clear sidewalks, driveways, and entrances of snow, ice, leaves, and debris
- Documentation Handling: Complete required forms and maintain accurate records for materials and purchases

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Travel to satellite sites, including Sullivan County locations, to perform custodial duties is required as needed.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
