This position provides maintenance and repair support throughout the Department, with a focus on installing modular furniture and partitions. Work relies on your knowledge of building, mechanical, and electrical trades and how to complete assignments efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Work Planning: Function as a lead worker, interpret and work from floorplans or sketches, use a computer, and determine work methods and procedures needed
- Furniture Installation: Reconfigure, relocate, and install Donn walls, modular workstations, partitions, and office furniture
- General Repairs: Perform assignments involving carpentry, small electrical repairs, emergency plumbing, and preventive maintenance on motorized equipment
- Inventory Management: Maintain lists, locations, and records of keys, supplies, tools, and furniture and cubicle parts
- Equipment Operation: Use and maintain shop and warehouse tools, equipment, and machinery
- Worksite Travel: Drive throughout the state to complete duties, pick up materials, and make deliveries at field office locations

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
- You must possess a current driver's license which is not under suspension.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
