UPMC Presbyterian is looking to hire a Full-Time Equipment Reprocessor to support the Gastrointestinal Lab.
Schedule:
- (4) 10-hour shifts, includes weekends
- 7 am to 5:30 pm
1-2 late days per week
Purpose:
Cares for, handles and reprocesses all fiber optic endoscopy equipment and accessories used in the GI Laboratory.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate accurate cleaning and disinfection procedures for all endoscopes and accessories.
- Adhere to universal infection control guidelines when cleaning and disinfecting scopes and accessories.
- Contribute to an efficient work and team environment.
- Assume responsibility for own development.
- Maintain unit standards of quality control and safety.
- Demonstrate proper handling techniques for scopes and accessories.
- Contribute to maintaining a neat, clean and safe environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous employment or training as an Endoscopy Technician or other medical specialty such as Central Service Technician preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 34
