Role SAP Project Manager
Location- Pittsburgh, PA
Role Overview
Seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead large-scale SAP transformation and implementation programs, preferably within the Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical industry. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, ensuring projects meet agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation and transformation programs from initiation through go-live and hypercare.
- Own project scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, quality, and overall delivery.
- Drive project execution using the SAP Activate methodology along with appropriate Agile/Hybrid delivery practices.
- Manage large, complex, and multi-country/global SAP programs.
- Lead global and cross-functional teams across SAP functional and technical workstreams.
- Manage project phases including planning, design, build, testing, data migration, deployment, go-live, and hypercare.
- Establish and maintain strong project governance, including weekly project reviews, workstream reviews, executive reporting, and Steering Committee meetings.
- Provide regular reporting to the Steering Committee, PMO, and senior leadership, covering project status, financials, risks, dependencies, milestones, and key issues.
- Ensure project deliverables meet agreed quality standards, timelines, scope, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain strong executive-level communication.
- Coordinate dependencies across business, SAP functional, technical, data, testing, and other project workstreams.
Required / Preferred Experience
- Strong experience managing SAP S/4HANA implementations and transformation programs.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Activate methodology.
- Experience with global template and rollout programs.
- Experience managing large, complex, multi-country SAP programs.
- Strong understanding of cross-functional SAP landscapes and integration between functional and technical workstreams.
- Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical industry experience is highly preferred.
- Understanding of regulated environments, including GxP, CSV/CSA, and related compliance requirements.
- Strong project governance, risk management, financial management, and delivery management experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
