Senior Front-End Developer (React / Next.js)
Type: Full-Time or Contract | Location: Pittsburgh, PA preferred (remote open) | Focus: Legal Technology / Law Firm
Senior front-end engineer with deep React and Next.js expertise to lead development of enterprise web apps for a law firm or legal tech environment. 7-12+ years of front-end experience, with strong hands-on React, Next.js, TypeScript, and architecture skills. Legal or professional services experience is a plus, not required.
Must-Haves
- 7+ years front-end development, 5+ years React, 3+ years Next.js
- Expert TypeScript/JavaScript
- REST/GraphQL API integration
- Testing (Jest, Cypress/Playwright), Git, CI/CD
- SSO/OAuth and web security fundamentals
- Proven technical leadership and mentoring
Nice-to-Haves
- Legal domain experience (matter management, document management, eDiscovery, client portals, billing)
- Azure/AWS, Entra ID/Azure AD
- Design systems, Storybook, Tailwind/Material UI
- WCAG/ADA accessibility work
Role: Own architecture decisions, lead code reviews, mentor developers, and turn complex legal/business requirements into secure, scalable UI. Bachelor's in CS or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
